We have organized a group, an alumni association with the primary project of establishing a study and training center for fellow alumni and current students of our alma mater. We came up with the idea of forming this organization during one of our ‘accidental’ gatherings late last year, as we found out that many fellow alumni are based all over the world, practically all of whom are believed to be very successful in their respective fields, and looking for ways to give back to our beloved school. A few months and a couple of meetings later, we have formally organized our alumni group, and have come up with concrete plans to use the many donations we have already received from our kind-hearted schoolmates.

One very important project is the provision of scholarship grants to deserving students, those exceptional students in our city and adjacent areas who do not have sufficient family income to sustain advanced college studies. We will also be constructing – in a parcel of land generously donated by one alumnus – a study center and training hall. This will be a four-storey building, the first two of which will house the training halls, while the top two floors to be the study center. If the project will go as planned, there will be three main training halls for conferences, symposia and seminars, either organized by the alumni association or by the school, or rented out at reasonable prices to other functions. The study center will be equipped with state-of-the-art research materials and resources.

Known to my peers as a successful interior designer, I will be heading the building’s interior design committee. Our committee will be in charge of designing and choosing decorations for the study center building. In my years of experience in interior design, one favourite item is a rug – Persian, Oriental, exotic-looking area rugs that will make your rooms more elegant and sophisticated. There are many high quality yet cheap rugs you can choose from on the web. Online businesses selling rugs even offer free deliveries in certain states.
