I understood my friend when he said it is upto the designers to produce a good site, whether using Free website templates or using their own web design programs or such, but the judge would be the people online who will be looking at the pages you made. This all stemmed from an incident when a certain wed developer friend openly admitted he used Free website templates to create some web pages, although only as a base for the main page, but some people and other web designers did not agree with him telling him it is no good and he should stick to creating his own work rather than getting Free website templates as this is generic and can be duplicated by anyone who logs in there. I actually begged to disagree as I have also sent the works of my friend and definitely they were good. They did not look like the same templates they were when he used it from the free websites, in fact he creatively reorganized and added so many things it was altogether an entirely new page as It turned out. And when people actually look at the page he made, he got so many good comments and even some people asking him to do their web pages for them. It only stands to say that the web pages cannot be judged whether it came from a free website or done manually because if it is good, it is good.
